Apple just announced the new Mac mini powered by the 2nm M6 chip and the M5 Pro chip. Both models bring faster performance and stronger AI features. In the US, the Mac mini M6 starts at $899, while the M5 Pro variant starts at $1,699. In the Philippines, the M6 starts at ₱64,990, and the M5 Pro at ₱119,990.
The Mac mini M6 comes with a 12-core CPU and GPU, each with Neural Accelerators. It delivers up to 4x faster AI performance and 2x faster graphics compared to the M4. It supports up to 32GB of memory with 170GB/s bandwidth.
Apple says it can process large language model prompts 13.5x faster than the M1, run Excel calculations 2.3x faster, and play games with ray tracing at twice the speed.
The Mac mini M5 Pro is built for heavier workloads. It offers up to an 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU with advanced ray tracing. It supports up to 64GB memory with 307GB/s bandwidth. Benchmarks show 8.5x faster LLM prompt processing versus the M2 Pro, 4.5x faster Blender rendering, and 2.1x faster image processing in Affinity.

Both models feature Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and 2.5Gb Ethernet, with a 10Gb option. The M6 variant comes with Thunderbolt 4, while the M5 Pro supports Thunderbolt 5 with clustering for AI models. They ship with macOS 27, which includes Siri AI and Apple Intelligence updates.
