Apple is raising prices for the iPhone 18 series. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max could cost about 9% more (around $100) than the iPhone 17, with US starting prices around $1,199. The increase comes as memory and storage chip costs continue to climb.
Apple is following Samsung and Google, who recently raised flagship prices by $100. Analysts say Apple’s hike is modest compared to rising component costs, keeping the company competitive in the premium market.
In the Philippines, Apple already raised prices for iPads and MacBooks in June, which shows how the company is adjusting its lineup locally. With the upcoming increase, the iPhone 18 Pro could start at around ₱86,990.
The price jump is not limited to the Philippines. In India, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to launch at a higher premium compared to the iPhone 17 Pro.
Reports also point to hardware changes. The iPhone 18 Pro Max could ship with a larger battery, and Apple is said to be using different batteries in different regions. Alongside the iPhone 18 series, Apple is preparing to unveil new Apple Watch and AirPods models.
