Apple’s upcoming iPhone Ultra foldable is expected to launch in September 2026 with a price tag of around $2,199. Analysts say this could push iPhone prices up by 11% by 2027, making it Apple’s most expensive iPhone yet.
Supply will be extremely limited at launch, with Apple targeting 10 million units but needing months to reach that level. Early buyers will find it hard to secure one. Despite talk of a US-only release, sources suggest the rollout will be somewhat global, though availability is going to be tight.
The foldable Ultra is projected to sell 14 million units by fiscal 2027, with only a small portion affecting regular iPhone sales. Analysts believe this could lift Apple’s average iPhone selling price and boost the company’s revenue.
At $2,199 (roughly ₱135,600), the foldable Ultra would cost about 83% more than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, positioning it firmly in the premium tier. Even modest adoption could reshape Apple’s product mix and earnings outlook.
There is also debate over the iPhone Ultra name. Some believe Apple may reserve “Ultra” for a future anniversary model, while alternatives like “iPhone Fold” are being floated around. The final branding is still uncertain.
