Touchscreen MacBooks, OLED iPad mini tipped for October

Apple could unveil new touchscreen MacBooks and the OLED iPad mini later this October, according to a new report. The launch is set for October 28 as part of another Apple product event.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said that Apple has already invited media to an all-day product experience. The event is expected to feature several new devices, including touchscreen MacBooks and an OLED version of the iPad mini.

The report also points to new Macs powered by Apple’s M6 chip. These include a 14-inch MacBook Pro and a refreshed iMac. If announced, the devices would join Apple’s growing lineup of Macs and iPads.

Among the rumored products, the touchscreen MacBook stands out the most. Apple has avoided touchscreens on MacBooks for years, so the move could mark a major change for the Mac lineup.

The OLED iPad mini is another highlight. The display upgrade could bring deeper blacks and better contrast compared to current panels, although the report did not share more details about the device.
