Touchscreen MacBook Pros are coming next month, say reports

Apple is set to launch touchscreen MacBook Pros next month. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new laptops will feature OLED panels, lighter builds, and Apple’s latest M6 chip.

Two models are coming: a 14‑inch and a 16‑inch MacBook Pro. Both will have OLED touchscreen displays, making them the first Macs with touch support. Gurman says the laptops will be “significantly lighter” than current versions because of a redesigned internal structure.

The new MacBook Pros are being tested with macOS 27.2. Apple is adding touch‑friendly features to the system, making it easier to use apps and menus with gestures. This marks a big change for Macs, which have always relied on trackpads and keyboards.

Apple is also preparing an OLED upgrade for the iPad mini. The tablet will keep its 8.3‑inch size, with no redesign mentioned, but the new display should bring better visuals and efficiency.

These updates show Apple’s push to bring OLED displays to more of its devices. For Mac users, the addition of touchscreens could change how you use your laptop. For iPad mini owners, the OLED panel means a sharper and more efficient screen.
