Acer has unveiled the Project DualPlay Mini, a concept 2-in-1 gaming handheld that also works as a small laptop. The device is part of Acer’s Predator line, showing the brand’s push towards hybrid gaming gear.
The DualPlay Mini has an 8-inch flip-and-swivel screen that lets you switch between handheld and laptop modes. In laptop mode, it flips out a backlit keyboard, made for games that need keyboard input. You can even connect a Bluetooth mouse for first-person shooters. In handheld mode, it plays like a regular console device.
It can also connect to an external display, so you can use it for work or other tasks. Under the hood, it runs on an Intel processor with a dual-fan cooling system.
One of the fans is the Predator AeroBlade, which uses ultra-thin metal fan blades. Acer said this setup can increase airflow by up to 10% versus a plastic fan, keeping the device cool even during long gaming sessions.

The Project DualPlay Mini is only a concept. Acer has not shared final specs, price, or release plans. We have to wait and see if this goes into production.
