Xiaomi has confirmed the 18 Fold at IFA 2026. The foldable will launch on September 7, 2026. The device arrives just two days before Apple’s iPhone event, giving Xiaomi a chance to grab some attention from its rival.
The 18 Fold comes in a red finish and uses a wide passport-style form factor with rounded corners that provide a better grip.
The 18 Fold has a 5.38-inch external screen and a 7.58-inch internal foldable display. Both panels have slim bezels, with punch-hole cameras on the cover and main screens.
On the back, a triple camera setup sits in a visor housing, expected to include wide, telephoto, and ultrawide lenses.
Inside, the 18 Fold runs on Xiaomi’s own XRing O3 chip, moving away from Qualcomm and MediaTek. This is a sign of Xiaomi’s push to control performance and efficiency. Early reports point to strong CPU and GPU output, but full specs will be revealed at launch.

For now, the release looks limited to China. Xiaomi has yet to confirm global rollout plans. Details such as battery size, memory, and pricing will also be announced during the September 7 event.
