Apple is working on two game controllers, based on code found in macOS 26.7. The leak points to two models, T6502 and T1057, each with different setups.
The T6502 is a wired-only controller that connects through USB. It skips motion sensors but adds advanced haptics with four channels for more precise feedback. The T1057 supports both USB and Bluetooth. It comes with an accelerometer and gyroscope for motion input but only has one haptic motor.
Both controllers use a standard layout with ABXY buttons, dual thumbsticks, shoulder buttons, triggers, and Home/Menu keys. The macOS code also includes hardware plug-ins, showing these are real devices and not placeholders. Apple later removed the references in newer builds.

Apple has supported third-party controllers for years on Apple Arcade, Apple TV, and Vision Pro. The big question now is why Apple is planning to release its own controller (and why it hasn’t made one before). If these devices move past testing, it could mean Apple is getting serious about its gaming setup.
For now, it is not clear if the T6502 and T1057 will launch or stay as internal prototypes.
