ShopeeFood launching in PH on September 16

ShopeeFood is set to launch in the Philippines on September 16, 2026, starting in Metro Manila. The service enters a crowded market dominated by GrabFood and Foodpanda.

While there’s no official announcement yet, netizens spotted the ShopeeFood PH Facebook page, showing the announcement. It is already available in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The Philippines will be its fifth market. Ahead of launch, the company is already recruiting riders to build its delivery network.

The service is expected to integrate ShopeePay, Shopee Coins, and vouchers. This setup ties food delivery to Shopee’s existing payment and rewards system.

It’s still unclear, though, whether the service will run inside the main Shopee app or as a separate ShopeeFood app. Malaysia integrates it directly, while Vietnam and Indonesia use standalone apps.

ShopeeFood’s entry will add pressure to GrabFood and foodpanda, especially in Metro Manila. New competition is always a positive for consumers. Expansion to other cities will depend on how fast riders sign up and how well customers respond to it. Expect full service availability and official app integration details when the platform goes live.
