Heading home with friends just got a little easier. GrabCar Group Ride now splits the fare automatically, allowing up to three passengers to share one trip and save up to 50% compared to booking separate rides.
The updated feature lets one person book a GrabCar and invite up to two friends to join. Each passenger can add a drop-off point, with support for up to three destinations in a single booking. The app also shows each rider’s share upfront, so everyone knows how much they need to pay before the trip starts.
One of the biggest changes is automatic fare splitting. Instead of computing costs after the ride or asking “magkano share ko?”, the app handles the split for each passenger. This makes shared rides simpler, especially for those traveling in the same direction.
Grab also added a way for users to save their regular ride groups. Frequent passengers and commonly used pickup and drop-off locations can be stored in the app.
