Casio reveals G-SHOCK 2500 Series with CasiOak look, PH listing now live

Casio has revealed the new G-SHOCK 2500 Series, a lineup of analog watches inspired by the iconic DW-5000C. The collection is already listed on the Casio Philippines website, giving local fans an early look at the new models.

The new series comes in two variants, the GMC-2500 and GAC-2500. Together, they offer nine models across resin and metal builds. The watches carry over the “functional beauty” of the first G-SHOCK, but with a more refined analog design.

At first glance, the watches could remind fans of the popular CasiOak nickname. The rounded octagonal shape and clean dial design give a familiar look. Some overseas watch sites have even compared the design to luxury sports watches, although Casio says the inspiration comes from the original 1983 DW-5000C.

One key feature is the new Multi-Mission Date display at the 3 o’clock position. The three-cell display can show the date, stopwatch information, and other settings. A small seconds dial sits at 9 o’clock, adding to the watch’s traditional analog styling.

The 2500 Series also includes a fully automatic calendar, which reduces the need for manual date adjustments. The seconds hand can be stopped to save power, helping extend battery life. Like other G-SHOCK models, the new watches retain the brand’s trademark toughness, including shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance.

The lineup includes several color options across resin and metal versions. Among them is the GMC-2500D-1A2 with a blue dial, which is already featured on the Casio Philippines website.

Globally, the GAC-2500 resin models start at USD 145 (around PHP 9,200). The GMC-2500 models with metal accents are priced between USD 280 (PHP 17,800) and USD 300 (PHP 19,000), while the fully metal GMC-2500D variants cost USD 350 (PHP 22,200). Casio Philippines has yet to announce local pricing and availability for the new series.
