RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro gets a new 1TB variant

RedMagic has launched a new 1TB version of the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro in China. The new model comes with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, making it the biggest storage option in the lineup.

The new variant will go on sale in China starting on November 9, 2026. It has a price tag of CNY 6,999 (around PHP 66,160 / USD 1,050 / INR 98,440) and joins the existing versions of the gaming tablet.

For gamers, the extra storage is the big news here. The Gaming Tablet 5 Pro does not have a microSD card slot, so you can’t expand storage later. With 1TB onboard, there’s more room for large games, updates, videos, and other files.

The tablet packs some serious hardware under the hood. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and uses a liquid cooling system to help keep temperatures under control during long gaming sessions.

Up front, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro features a 9.06-inch OLED display with a 2400×1504 resolution. It also offers a fast 185Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. Keeping everything powered is an 8,300mAh battery.

Outside China, the tablet is sold as the RedMagic Astra 2. Global buyers can currently choose between 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB versions. So far, RedMagic has not announced plans to bring the new 1TB model to other markets.

Key Specifications

  • 9.06-inch OLED display, 2400×1504, 185Hz refresh rate
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
  • Up to 16GB RAM
  • Up to 1TB storage
  • Liquid cooling system
  • 8,300mAh battery

For now, the new 1TB version is exclusive to China. If you need lots of space for games and media, it’s the highest-capacity Gaming Tablet 5 Pro available there.
