The war is on. Cherry Mobile might be king when it comes to the sheer number of Android devices released in the market but MyPhone might have the best Android phone right now when specs and price are considered.
The newest Android device from MyPhone is the Iceberg Mini, a phone that perfectly marries design, specs and pricing, making it one of the most attractive locally-branded phones in the market. The MyPhone Iceberg Mini is not so mini with its 5-inch display but the nomenclature is in relation to the original Iceberg which features a bigger display. The original has a cheaper price but the pricing of the Iceberg Mini is rather reasonable considering the added specs and features. The new Iceberg has a faster quad-core processor, a bigger RAM and improved cameras.
The most interesting feature of the MyPhone Iceberg Mini is the 5-inch display. It’s an IPS LCD screen with 1080×1920 resolution, making it a full-HD display with a whopping 441ppi. Really, this phone is a beast and the only missing features I would look for are LTE connectivity and a microSD slot for storage expansion. Nonetheless, if you’re not in need of LTE, the HSPA+ connectivity should work fine. Below are the main specs of the MyPhone Iceberg Mini.

In terms of design, the MyPhone Iceberg Mini is a looker. It has a thin profile and a metallic finish that exudes class and premium quality. It remains to be seen, however, if this phone is as sturdy as it looks. I imagine the Iceberg Mini to be easy to use judging from the phone’s curved edges.
The MyPhone Iceberg Mini comes with a free SIM adapter and micro-SIM cutter so if you’re using the regular SIM, that should not be a problem if you want to switch to this phone. I’d love to review this phone but in case I don’t get to, share your impressions in the comments section if you happen to have purchased one.

jay: Same here, I went to all myphone branches here in Davao City last weekend (Dec.7) and none of them have this Iceberg Mini. In fact, sa dalawang stores nila, the salesgirl has not even heard of it….
Nagpunta kme sa lahat ng myphone branch wala naman silang unit kahit nag launch sila last nov 29

I wish theyll have some kind of special on it.. maybe they can slash the price down to 9,999 for.. lets say a week hahah!

Is the difference between 720p and 1080p really discernible in 5 inch screens?
