I’m actually quite curious as to how well the performance will be on this Intel-powered Android tablet. The specs alone should be enough to make this fly, barring any issues with the UI. And you know they thought about gaming when they loaded the PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU and 2GB RAM on this thing. I guess you could even say that this has the makings of a very good tablet.

Intel, for its part, has been working hard to make its presence felt in the mobile industry, even to the point of taking some losses just to get their chips out. Its Atom chips are compelling, but its late entry to mobile scene means it has to fight tooth and nail against the Snapdragons, Exynoses and Mediateks. But if past performance is any indication, then I’m sure we won’t be disappointed when it starts flexing its massive technological muscles.

The Starmobile Engage 9i has an SRP of Php9,990 and will be available in the first week of February.
