Leaked images of the Lumia 1020’s successor, the Lumia 1030, made it to the internet a few days ago. Rumors of its cancellation was abuzz in the wake of the completion of Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia. But still rumors of the device persisted.
Latest news about the Lumia 1030, which has a model number of RM-1052, has recently surfaced and it looks like things are looking good. One feature mentioned by the leakster was that the latest Lumia will come with a larger 50MP camera sensor. It will most likely carry the PureView brand and it will be accompanied by a dual-LED flash (instead of a Xenon one). Of course, we have to take all of these with a healthy does of salt, and nothing up to this point is final.
Other specs rumored include a 1080p display, a quad core Snapdragon chipset, and 2GB of RAM. That’s about it for the Lumia 1030. Hopefully Microsoft brings its fans a proper successor to one of the best camera phones released. No other information is available at this time.
The Lumia 1030 (or RM-1052) is expected to show up at the MWC next year.
