Frederique Constant introduces first Horological Smartwatch; Will come to PH soon

Luxury Swiss watchmaker Frederique Constant recently introduced the first Horological Smartwatch. Rather than reinventing the wheel (or watch), the company decided to stick to what they do best. They created classic elegant timepiece, but this time, they baked in additional smart functions.

Key Specifications:

  • MMT-286 quartz caliber, powered by MotionX
  • Functions adjustable via the crown
  • Polished rose gold plated stainless steel
  • Convex sapphire crystal
  • Water resistant to 5 ATM
  • Leatherstrap with folding buckle
  • 2+ years battery life

The Horological Smartwatch looks and feels like an analog luxury watch. The smart functions are, in essence, completely invisible to the user. Inside the elegant piece lies the activity tracker module powered by MotionX. The device collects data and keeps track of your activities, movement and sleep patterns. It connects to a smartphone through Bluetooth where an app receives and analyzes the data. The app will be available to both iOS and Android.

Interestingly, the Horological Smartwatch is completely upgradable too. Users can stave away obsolescence by simply having the activity tracker module replaced. That means new functions and better technologies can be acquired without replacing the whole watch.

Frederique Constant’s Horological Smartwatch will come to the Philippines soon. The beautiful timepiece will have an estimated price of over PHP65,000. The brand will be carried by Timeline’s Tempus stores.

The launch was held at the Dusit Hotel, Makati. The intimate gathering was attended by a handful of bloggers and media.
