ASUS ZenFone 3 is coming this August

Happy Monday peeps! Let’s start the week with good news from ASUS Philippines! Last week, company announced that the much awaited ZenFone 3 is arriving this August.

So if you are currently looking for a new phone, I strongly suggest that you wait till August before deciding. If the previous ZenFone 2 is any indication, these bad boys will be one of this year’s best.

ASUS ZenFone 3 Series

Revealed at the Computex 2016, the ZenFone 3 family consists of three smartphones — the flagship ZenFone 3 Deluxe, the midrange ZenFone 3, and the phablet ZenFone 3 Ultra. The series departs from last year’s form factor, and now feature a re-designed look. In a nutshell, these devices are thinner, more premium looking and more refined.

As ASUS PR Head Anvey Factora puts it “the new Zenfone 3 promises to be even more powerful and stylish than our previous generation and this early, we are receiving a lot of great reviews and feedback from reputable media outlets, and key organizations worldwide. We expect the Zenfone 3 to be a hit in the Philippine market as well.”

Let’s have a quick rundown of each ZenFone for the benefit of those looking to get one of these.

ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is this ASUS’ flagship device for 2016. The smartphone features an aluminium unibody design, a 5.7-inch super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 820 processor and up to 6GB of RAM. It comes with a 23MP PixelMaster 3 main camera, powered by a Sony IMX318 sensor, and the company’s TriTech Autofocus System.

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe is not yet priced locally, but the 6GB RAM / 64GB Storage variant is said to retail for USD 499. I am guessing that it could (COULD) be priced somewhere in the PHP 24,000 range.

ASUS ZenFone 3

The ZenFone 3 is, based on its specs, ASUS’ midrange contender. This one comes with a 2.5D 5.5-inch full HD Super IPS+ display. At its heart is an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, an Adreno 506 graphics chip and up to 4GB of RAM. For mobile photographers, the smartphone touts a 16MP PixelMaster 3 camera with the TriTech Autofocus System.

The ZenFone 3’s price is yet to be revealed. But the 3GB RAM / 32GB Storage model is said to retail for USD 249, or roughly P12,000. I’m guessing its price won’t be far off from the ZenFone 2 when that one launched.

ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra

Built for watching movies and videos, the ZenFone 3 Ultra features a phablet-sized 6.8-inch full HD IPS display with Tru2Life+ video technology. Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor, an Adreno 510 graphics chip and 4GB of RAM. It has a 23MP camera with the TriTech Autofocus, and also packs Hi-Res Audio with a virtual 7.1-channel surround sound.

Like its brothers, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Ultra does not have a peso price yet, but the 4GB RAM / 64GB model is said to retail for USD 479. That could mean its coming at roughly the P23,000 range.
