Android 7.0 Nougat update for Moto Z is rolling out in the Philippines!
Moto Z Nougat Update
The Nougat update is finally here! Moto Z users in the Philippines started getting the update few days ago. The update is almost 1.2GB in size, and flaunts aesthetic and performance enhancements that include new multitasking features, a revamped quick settings menu, and new data saver and battery optimization features.
Improved AnTuTu Score
A quick run of AnTuTu Benchmark v6.2.7 shows minor improvements over the last firmware. The new Nougat update seems to boost performance slightly. On Android Marshmallow, the Moto Z managed a score of 112,787 points. On Nougat, the score got a slight bump to 124,031. The slight performance increase could be the results of performance enhancements under the hood and the new just-in-time compiler from the new firmware.
To check if your Moto Z has the update, go to Settings, About Phone, then tap System Updates. Make sure you have at least 80 percent battery and a stable (and preferably fast) Wi-Fi connection. For a complete list of performance updates, you may click here.
