Developed with Vivo global partner Synaptics, the Clear ID FS9500 optical in-display fingerprint scanner could be seen in Vivo smartphone flagships in the early part of 2018. And what better place to showcase that tech than in CES 2018 at Las Vegas.

The technology will allow Vivo to manufacture smartphones with even tinier bezels with a fingerprint scanner in front, where it is more convenient. Synaptics claims that this is twice as fast as 3D facial recognition, requiring only one touch to unlock the phone.
