Samsung Galaxy J8 launches in the Philippines; Priced at PHP15,990

The Samsung Galaxy J8 is now official in the Philippines. Priced at PHP15,990, the handset features a large AMOLED display and dual cameras.

Samsung’s J-series have always had a place within the top ten popular midrange smartphones list. Recently, the company announced a promising new contender in the local market.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 was announced in the Philippines and it comes with a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1480 x 720 resolution, and an 18.5:9 ratio.

Inside, the handset is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. It also has a 3,500 mah battery.

As for the cameras, the Galaxy J8 has a 16MP + 5MP dual shooters at the back, and a 16MP sensor for selfies. The phone also sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, a headphone jack, and Samsung Experience OS on top of Android Oreo.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 will have a price of PHP15,990. It will be available in Samsung authorized stores and partner retailers nationwide starting August 4, 2018.

Pre-order period starts on July 21, 2018. Those who pre-orders the unit will get aa PHP1,000 cash back, together with a free screen protector, a screen insurance policy, and a JBL Clip Bluetooth speaker.
