Cebuana Lhuillier recently reported a data breach involving one of their email servers, affecting over 900,000 customers.
According to a statement from Cebuana Lhuillier, transaction details or information were not compromised, but they still recommend that their users change their passwords as soon as possible.

According to YugaTech, a notice about the security incident was emailed to Cebuana’s customers over the weekend. The company disclosed that one of their email marketing tool servers was breached and that over 900,000 accounts were compromised. Unauthorized downloads of the information took place on August 5, 8, and 12, 2018. The incident was detected on January 15, 2019.
The company already undertook preventive measures since the discovery of the incident. They have also reported the same to the National Privacy Commission.
