This week at the Unpacked event saw Samsung unveil the Samsung Galaxy Fold, a new foldable smartphone. This time, it looks like Huawei is about to do the same at the MWC.
Recently, a banner of Huawei’s own foldable phone was photographed and then tweeted by @gimme2pm. The photo was of an advertising banner being installed by workers and shows phone folding into a larger tablet-like device. Aside from the phone, the banner mentioned its name, Huawei Mate X.

Here, it looks like Huawei took a different approach with the Mate X. The banner shows a phone with a folding display on the outside, meaning you have to fold it outward for it to take on its tablet form. This also means that the phone has a front and back display in its folded form.
There are no other details about the phone at the moment, but we only have a few days to wait before we see it. Huawei’s press event at the MWC is on February 24, 2019, 2PM in Barcelona, Spain. That’s around 9PM here in the Philippines.
