Honor Philippines recently announced which of its devices will get the EMUI 9.1 update. The latest EMUI is based on Android Pie and includes a host of nifty new features.

What’s new with EMUI 9.1
One of the best features of EMUI 9.1 is the Extended Read-Only File System or EROFS. This new file system was made to improve performance. According to Huawei, EROFS improves read speed by up to 20% compared to the previous EXT4 system. This means a smoother UI, faster app starts, and more efficient storage handling.

Here are some of the other features that come with EMUI 9.1:
- GPU Turbo 3.0 added support for new games for a total of 25 games. These games will have higher frame rates with lower power consumption.
- Updated Huawei Vlog with new features and effects.
- Better Huawei Share OneHop which lets users transfer files between Huawei MateBook and Huawei flagship phones.
- Streamlined and simplified UI elements, better menu structure, and more accessible options.
