In the wake of the newly launched iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max, Apple is cutting the prices of the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and the XR in the Philippines.
These iOS devices were the flagships of yesteryears. And while they’re still mostly expensive, this gives those who wants to get into the Apple ecosystem a chance of snagging one of these iPhones.

- Apple iPhone 8 Plus 64GB – PHP 36,990
- Apple iPhone 8 Plus 128GB – PHP 39,990

As for the iPhone XS and XS Max, these are no longer available on Apple’s website and replaced with the iPhone 11 Pro series and the iPhone 11.
Which one should you get?
For those who really want an iPhone (and don’t have the patience to wait for the new ones to come out) the best device on the list is the iPhone XR.
The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are still great devices (I still use mine), but they’re already two years old with a dated design. The XR, while not perfect, is relatively new and comes with a 12MP camera that is said to be leagues away from the previous generation. And it also rocks Apple’s 7nm A12 Bionic chipset which is still pretty powerful.

Now, the only thing going against the XR is the display, which is technically in HD with a 1792 x 828 resolution and a pixel density of 326 ppi. But it has True Tone and a wide color gamut, and has been highly regarded as one of the best IPS panels in its segment.
In the end, though, it might be better to just wait for the Philippine prices of the new iPhones. This way, you can make a better decision on what to get.
