The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro has just launched in the Philippines. The former has a 48MP camera, while the latter boasts a 64MP shooter. As expected, the midrange handsets come with lightweight prices.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is priced at PHP 7,990 for the 3GB + 32GB model, PHP 8,990 for the 4GB + 64GB, and PHP 9,990 for the 4GB + 128GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at PHP 11,490 for the 6GB + 64GB, and PHP 12,990 for the 6GB + 128GB.
Both handsets will be available at Lazada, Mi Stores, and Mi Zones starting tomorrow, October 12, 2019.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8
The Redmi Note 8 comes with a 6.30-inch full HD IPS display with dewdrop notch and narrow side bezels. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor with 4/64GB, 6/64GB, and 6/128GB RAM/storage options. Battery capacity is at 4,000mAh with support for an 18W fast charge. In comparison, the Pro model has a Helio G90T processor and a larger 4,500mAh battery.

The handset packs four rear cameras. The main shooter has a 48MP, also powered by Samsung’s latest ISOCELL GM2 sensor. It is grouped with an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro, another 2MP for depth.
As for the rest of the specs, it has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, and MIUI 10 based on Android Pie.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro
The main highlight of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is its quad camera setup. It has a 64MP main sensor with a Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with quad-binning pixel technology. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensors.

The Note 8 Pro has a 6.53-inch display with narrow side bezels. There’s a dewdrop notch housing a 20MP front camera. This is the first device to have an octa-core Helio G90T processor. It is paired with 6 or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also has liquid cooling for temperature control and a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
