Realme XT unboxing, initial hands-on review

The smartphone megapixel wars has reached new heights when the 64MP-equipped Realme XT was announced. Launched in the Philippines last October, this is Realme’s most expensive smartphone in the country so far.

Today, we’re going to take a quick look at the Realme XT. For PHP 16,990, it features an impressive spec list including a 64MP main camera, a Super AMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and VOOC fast charging.

The Realme XT comes in a simple white retail box with the phone’s image and the Realme branding. Inside, it is packaged with a 20W VOOC 3.0 Fast Charger, a silicone case, a USB Type-C cable, and the usual documentation.

It has a familiar design akin to the Realme 5 Pro. Up front, you have a 6.4-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a dewdrop notch and curved corners. The screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5, giving it added resistance from scratches and shattering.

At the back, you have a smooth gradient panel with a simple layout. The review unit we have is clad in Pearl Blue color. The quad cameras and the LED flash are arranged in a vertical layout, located on the upper left side. Like previous handsets, the Realme logo is upright.
