How to update to Realme UI

Here’s how to update your Realme XT and Realme 3 Pro to Realme UI. This is the easiest way to do it. It’s the same method I used to update my Realme XT.

Before you proceed, I suggest that you back up your files just in case something goes wrong. Oh and make sure you are connected to a charger or a power bank.

  1. First step is to download the firmware from Realme’s support page. The firmware is over 3.51GB, so make sure you have a fast and reliable Wi-Fi connection. I downloaded it over PLDT Home Fibr.
  2. Once you have downloaded the files, open your phone’s File Manager and look for the firmware (it has an ozip file extension).
  3. Tap on the firmware and choose Update Now to proceed with the package installation.
  4. The update process should start. All you have to do now is sit and wait for the installation to finish.

And that’s it! Congratulations, you have now updated your Realme 3 Pro and Realme XT to Realme UI Android 10.

Pretty! This was a really wonderful post. Many thanks for supplying this information.

  3. I have downloaded the file. Its in ozip format. When you click it asks do you want to decompress.

    • To get around the decompress error, you have the option to install via recovery mode. There’s a chance something might go wrong which could brick your device, so I caution against this. If you’re not comfortable with this process, I suggest you wait for the official update.

If you’re willing to take the risk, then its a fairly simple process. I’d like to remind you that we will not take responsibility for brick devices or any damages that might happen because of this. With that out of the way, here’s the process:

First transfer the firmware file into your phone’s storage. Then press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, until your phone enters Recovery Mode. Choose the language you want. Choose Install from storage device, then phone storage, and then tap on the firmware file. Press OK and wait. Thats it.

Make sure you have enough battery life when you do this. Also, don’t forget to back up just in case. Good luck.
