Future iPhone to have a smaller notch. Maybe.

A leak on Twitter shows an iPhone 12 schematic with a smaller notch. If this is true, then welcome to the modern era, iPhone.

We all know Apple would have eventually shrunk that notch. We just don’t know when. So maybe this is it.

The leak shows the iPhone 12 schematics with a significantly reduced notch, resulting in a bit more screen real estate. This was made possible by moving the earpiece higher up the bezel. They also must have improved the components for Face ID to be able to cram all that on the shorter space.

Again, this is a leak, so take it with a grain of salt. But the leakster does have some credibility. While he’s relatively new at leaking Apple, @jon_prosser of FrontPageTech has accurately predicted the launch and release dates of the iPhone SE 2020. So, take that as you may.

The iPhone 12 is expected to launch this September. We’ll find out by then if its true. Stay tuned.
