After weeks of speculation, Huawei officially launches the new Nova 7 series in China.
The Huawei Nova 7 Pro, Huawei Nova 7, and Huawei Nova 7 SE feature 5G connectivity, punch hole selfie shooters, and 64MP quad cameras.
All three come with attractive designs and impressive spec sheets, with equally attractive prices to match:
- Huawei Nova 7 Pro 8GB + 128GB – CNY 3,699 (around PHP 26,600 or USD 524)
- Huawei Nova 7 Pro 8GB + 256GB – CNY 4,099 (~PHP 30,000 or USD 580)
- Huawei Nova 7 8GB + 128GB – CNY 2,999 (~PHP 21,500 or USD 425)
- Huawei Nova 7 8GB + 256GB – CNY 3,399 (~PHP 24,400 or USD 480)
- Huawei Nova 7 SE 8GB + 128GB – CNY 2,399 (~PHP 17,200 or USD 340)
- Huawei Nova 7 SE 8GB + 256GB – CNY 2,799 (~PHP 20,100 or USD 400)
The Nova 7 series are up for pre-order in China with a target date of availability set on April 28. There are no news yet if will arrive in the Philippines.
Huawei Nova 7 Pro
True to its Pro name, the Huawei Nova 7 Pro comes feature packed.
Starting at the front, The Nova 7 Pro has a 6.57-inch OLED display with 70-degree curved edges, a full HD resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pill shaped punch hole cutout for the dual 32MP + 8MP selfie cameras.
Around the back, we have quad cameras led by a 64MP main shooter. It is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide, an 8MP periscope zoom, and a 2MP macro. The zoom lens is supported by an OIS, and lets you zoom in up to 5x optical and up to 50x hybrid.

Powering the phone is a Kirin 985 processor with 8GB RAM and a choice between 128GB or 256GB storage. It also has a 4,000mAh battery with support for 40-watt super fast charging and EMUI 10.1 on top of Android 10.

Huawei Nova 7
The Huawei Nova 7 features the same internals as the Pro with a Kirin 985 processor alongside 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. It also has a 4000mAh battery with 40 watt fast charging.

The vanilla variant boasts a similar quad camera setup but instead of a periscope zoom, it has a “regular” 8MP telephoto shooter with up to 3x optical and up to 5x hybrid zoom. The rest of the cameras are the same starting with 64MP main, together with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro.
In front, you have a 6.53-inch full HD OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a punch hole cutout for the 32MP selfie camera.

And finally, we have the Nova 7 SE as the third member of the series. It has a 6.5-inch IPS display with a punch hole for the 16MP selfie shooter.
It is powered by a Kirin 820 processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. It also has a 4000mAh battery, complete with 40 watt fast charging.
At the back are four cameras with a 64MP main. It is supported by an 8MP ultra-wide, and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro.
