Realme now Top 7 global brand, boasts 35 million users worldwide

There’s no denying Realme’s trajectory as one of the world’s top phone brands. In four months, they sold 10 million smartphones, bringing their total worldwide user base to 35 million.

According to Counterpoint Research, Realme sits at number seven among smartphone brand in the world. Despite the overall industry decline, they are one of two brands to achieve growth with 157% year-on-year increase in global smartphone shipments in Q3 2019, maintaining their momentum all the way to Q1 2020.

Their success, in part, is because of their knack for offering value-for-money products and their deep understanding and focus on young consumers.

Realme 35 Million Users Worldwide

Top brand in just two years

After just two years, Realme now has presence in 27 countries and regions around the world, successfully ranking among the top five brands in major markets such as China, Europe, India, and South and Southeast Asia.

In the Philippines, Realme sits at fourth in the market with an annual growth rate of 709%. Realme India has ranked in the country’s top five smartphones for a long time, while maintaining its second spot in the online market.

In Indonesia, they ranked among the top three in the third quarter of 2019. And in Egypt, they rank among the top five with a growth rate of 908%.

Realme and AIoT

This year, Realme will continue to focus on young users and built its own ecosystem, bolstering its smartphone and Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) lineup. As a tech lifestyle brand for the youth, they will employ the Realme 1+1 strategy: Smartphone + AIoT.

Realme X50m specs

Realme is set to position itself to become not only the world’s fastest growing smartphone brand but also world’s fastest growing AIoT company. This is punctuated by their efforts in releasing new smart products, successfully selling over 1 million units of the Realme Buds Air and Realme Buds Wireless.

To support their goal further, the company also partnered with Naoto Fukasawa, one of the world’s top industrial designers, and Alan Walker, the Global TOP 100 DJ, to improve both the design and performance of its products.

They are also one of the first to adopt the 5G technology by launching 5G devices in different prices segments, including the Realme X50 5G, Realme X50 Pro 5G and Realme X50m. They plan to introduce more 5G smartphone products and explore 5G popularization to cater to more users in the future.
