OnePlus accidentally disabled the Photochrom x-ray filter via update

In our previous post, we mentioned that OnePlus was going to fix the OnePlus 8 Pro’s x-ray camera through an update. And apparently, this isn’t it. The company accidentally released an update that disabled the feature for a limited number of OnePlus 8 Pro owners.

Last May, it was discovered that the OnePlus 8 Pro has an IR camera for its Photochrom filter that allowed it to see through some materials like plastic and clothes.

The company also added that they will re-enable the feature for those affected in a future update. At this point, I guess we have to wait and see how OnePlus will fix the Photochrom filter.
