realme is once again hailed as the world’s fastest growing smartphone brand, a title they held for four consecutive quarters. According to global industry analysis firm Counterpoint, realme registered a positive growth of 157% year-on-year.
The news is further confirmed by research firm Canalys, who reports 102% year-on-year growth of its Q2 2020 sell-in shipments.
realme has over 15 million users worldwide in the first half of the year. It is now the Top 4 smartphone brand in Thailand, India, Cambodia and Egypt, and Top 5 in the Philippines, Myanmar, Ukraine, Indonesia and Vietnam, according to Counterpoint Research and IDC.

In just two years, they have grown their userbase to 40 million, a milestone for a brand that’s just 2 years old.
In 2020, realme has implemented its “Smartphone + AIoT” dual-driven strategy. They are also focusing on promoting 5G products. In the Philippines, they partnered with local telco companies for the accreditation of its 5G products and eventual market availability.

And lastly, the brand also made waves in the design world. In 2020, realme’s Design Studio have collaborated with world-renowned designers Naoto Fukasawa and Jose Levy of Hermes fame to produce realme products.
In addition, realme has won the Red Dot Design Award for its X2 Pro Master They also pioneered innovations not only in design but also in technology, most notably when they launched their first 125W fast charging technology last July.
