After a flurry of leaks, the realme X7 and realme X7 Pro are finally official. And totally unexpected, realme also announced an affordable 5G phone in the realme V3.
The brand has been quite busy this year with a series of releases. And these recent ones really impresses.
Now, I’m not sure if we get to see these handsets in the Philippines. But the most affordable option, the V3, has the highest chance of a local debut.
realme X7
Let’s start with the vanilla variant of the series, the realme X7. The handset is actually the first to carry the MediaTek Dimensity 800U, a new 7nm chip with 5G. To maximize speed, its paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.
At the front you have a 6.4-inch FHD AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a 32MP f/2.5 punch hole selfie camera. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass panel.

The phone has four cameras in a rectangular island with a 64MP f/1.8 main, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP B/W, and a 2MP macro. And of course, it boasts a 65W fast charging for the 4,300mAh battery.
The realme X7, like many of the brand’s releases, comes with a pocket friendly price tag of CNY 1,799. Roughly converted, that’s around PHP 13,000.

realme X7 Pro
Realme also announced a higher model in the realme X7 Pro. This one has a 6.55-inch full HD Super AMOLED display made by Samsung. To spice things up, it features a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 32MP punch hole selfie camera with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Inside, a top end MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor runs the show. For those not familiar, the chipset can provide performance close to the Snapdragon 865. It also has 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.1 storage.
The X7 Pro has the same set of cameras as the vanilla variant with a 64MP f/1.8 main, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP B/W, and a 2MP macro. It also has a 65W fast charging for the 4,500mAh battery and a cooling system to manage the heat while charging.

The realme X7 Pro is priced at CNY 2,199 for the 6GB + 128GB model, and CNY 2,399 for the 8GB + 128GB, and CNY 3,100 for the 8GB + 256GB. That’s around PHP 15,700, PHP 17,100, and PHP 22,100.

And finally, we have the realme V3. The handset has a price tag of just CNY 999 (around PHP 7,200), making this one of the most affordable phones with 5G so far.
And as budget devices go, this one has a lot going for it. The phone features a 6.5-inch IPS display, a MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G processor, 6GB or 8GB RAM, and 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.
The triple camera at the back is highlighted by a 13MP main with two 2MP sensors for macro and depth. While a 13MP shooter takes care of selfies.
Battery capacity is a huge 5,000mAh, which is common nowadays for smartphones in the price range.
As mentioned, this is the handset that will most likely make a landfall in the Philippines.
