realme is crowned the world’s fastest brand to reach 50 million smartphone sales in just two years.
According to Counterpoint’s Q3 2020 smartphone shipment report, realme achieved the feat in just two short years of existence. The brand recorded a historic high of 14.8 million quarterly shipments in Q3 2020, growing the business by 132% quarter-on-quarter.
realme’s growth rate in shipment volume represents “the strongest growth momentum among major global OEMs.” The brand is among the top five in all key markets in the Asia Pacific, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Australia.
In the Philippines, realme is the top 2 smartphone brand surpassing established companies like OPPO, Xiaomi, and Samsung to take the second spot. They are maintaining the momentum with the upcoming launch of new sub-brand Narzo on November 5.
Apart from the Narzo 20, realme recently launched the realme 7i in the Philippines last month. Priced at Php 11,990, the smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 64MP main camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charge support.
