DITO subscribers can now call and text Smart and Globe users

TL;DR: DITO Telecommunity finalizes interconnection with Smart Communications and Globe Telecom.

DITO Telecommunity, the country’s third telecommunications player, has recently completed its interconnection activities with Smart Communications and Globe Telecom.

This means DITO subscribers can now make voice calls and send text messages to subscribers of Smart and Globe. It was in February, that DITO signed into interconnection deals with the two telcos.

DITO launched in the Philippines last March 8. Initially only available in Visayas and Mindanao, they have recently added coverage to Luzon with 21 new cities.
