Smartphone brand HONOR returns to the Philippines

HONOR is set to make its return to the Philippine market. Earlier today, the global brand and its local partner, Iridium Philippines, launched in the country as a technology brand that caters to the different needs of Filipino consumers.

Daniel Wang, Director of Channel Management Department of Honor Device Com., Ltd., and Ricky Sy, President of HONOR Philippines/Iridium Technologies Inc., signed a partnership deal that marks the re-entrance of HONOR in the country. Through the deal, HONOR smartphones and devices will be sold and distributed by Iridium Technologies.

“As HONOR returns to the Philippines, we are confident that the brand will be well received by Filipino consumers. The brand”s re-entrance would also mean that HONOR products will soon become more accessible to Filipinos,” said Ricky Sy, President of HONOR Philippines. “The Philippines is a key market in Asia that we are committed to serving. We are positive to continue to gain consumers’ trust and popularity by providing the best products,” added Sy.

Expect to see HONOR phones in stores sometime in Q4 2022.

HONOR started as a smartphone subsidiary of Huawei. In 2020, they were sold to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology, a consortium of over 30 agents and dealers.

In 2021, HONOR unveiled its first smartphone in China as an independent brand. They have since released several devices in different markets. Their latest flagship, the HONOR Magic4 Ultimate released in March 2022, currently leads DXOMark’s smartphone rankings by camera quality.
