The Philippines will host MLBB M5 World Championships

The Philippines will host the Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) M5 World Championships, the first for the country. The news was announced at the M4 World Championships which saw an all-Filipino final between Blacklist International and ECHO.

The MLBB World Championships is one of the biggest Mobile Legends tournaments in the region. This year’s M4 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia, had a record-breaking peak viewership of over 4.27 million, according to the Esports Charts.

The Philippines has been one of the most dominant contenders in the MLBB esports scene, winning three of the last four tournaments. Previously, the M1 World Championship in Malaysia was won by Indonesia’s EVOS Legends.

The M2 World Championship in Singapore was won by the Filipino team Bren Esports. Meanwhile, the M3 World Championships, which was also held in Singapore, saw an all-Filipino final with Blacklist International sweeping ONIC PH 4-0.

And, of course, this year’s M4 World Championship in Indonesia saw another all-Filipino clash which saw ECHO dominating defending champs Blacklist International.

More details will be announced soon, so stay tuned.
