Filipino esports team ECHO is crowned the Mobile Legends (MLBB) world champions, sweeping fellow Filipino Blacklist International 4-0 in a best-of-seven grand finals of the M4 World Championship.
ECHO is the third PH team to become MLBB champions, joining Blacklist International in 2022 and Bren Esports in 2021. The champions take home the M4’s grand prize of USD 300,000. Blacklist International, the runner up, bags USD 120,000.
The MLBB World Championships was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from January 1 to 15, 2023. This season’s PH battle cry is “Pinas Lang Malakas,” which aimed to ignite the players’ strength, pride, and honor to once again bring the championship title to the Philippines.
