Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5: Powerful performance, large screen, price in the Philippines

Samsung recently launched its latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold5, in the Philippines with a starting price of PHP 98,990. The device offers a tablet-sized screen that can fold into a smartphone, as well as various features that enhance productivity, gaming, and entertainment.

The Galaxy Z Fold5 has a 7.6-inch main screen that provides an immersive viewing experience for watching videos, playing games, and browsing the web. It also has a 6.2-inch cover screen that can be used as a regular smartphone when folded.

The device supports the S Pen Fold Edition, a stylus that can be used to write notes, draw sketches, annotate documents, and more on the large screen. The S Pen Fold Edition is slimmer and more compact than previous S Pens and can be stored in a Slim S Pen Case that attaches to the back of the phone.

The foldable phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which delivers fast graphics and AI capabilities. It also has an advanced cooling system that prevents overheating and maintains performance.

The Galaxy Z Fold5 has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, a 10MP selfie camera on the cover screen, and a 4MP under-display camera on the main screen.

It also has a durable design and eco-friendly materials. The main screen of the device has a shock dispersion layer and a redesigned back for a more solid display.

The phone uses recycled materials such as pre-consumer recycled glass and aluminum and post-consumer recycled plastics, sourced from discarded fishing nets, water barrels, and PET bottles. The packaging box of the device is also made of 100 percent recycled paper.

The device comes with five years of security updates and four generations of OS upgrades.

Pricing & Availability

The Galaxy Z Fold5 is available in three colors: icy blue, phantom black, and cream. It is priced in the Philippines at PHP 98,990 for the 256GB variant, PHP 105,990 for the 512GB variant, and PHP 119,990 for the 1TB variant.
