Redmi 12 to launch in the Philippines on September 20

The phone features a 90Hz display, a 50MP triple camera, and a Helio G88 processor.

Xiaomi’s latest smartphone, the Redmi 12, is set to launch in the Philippines on September 20, 2023, according to a teaser posted on its official Facebook page.

The Redmi 12 features a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, and a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

It is expected to compete with other mid-range devices in the market. The phone boasts a sleek and elegant design with a glass back and three trendy colors: Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Polar Silver. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a headphone jack, and an IP53 rating for splash and dust resistance.

The Redmi 12 comes in three variants, namely, 4GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB, but it is not yet known which one is coming to the Philippines. The official prices have not been announced yet, but in Thailand, it starts at THB 5,299 ($153 or P8,600), which is pretty affordable.
