Xiaomi’s latest smartphone, the Redmi 12, is set to launch in the Philippines on September 20, 2023, according to a teaser posted on its official Facebook page.
The Redmi 12 features a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, and a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
It is expected to compete with other mid-range devices in the market. The phone boasts a sleek and elegant design with a glass back and three trendy colors: Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Polar Silver. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a headphone jack, and an IP53 rating for splash and dust resistance.
The Redmi 12 comes in three variants, namely, 4GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB, but it is not yet known which one is coming to the Philippines. The official prices have not been announced yet, but in Thailand, it starts at THB 5,299 ($153 or P8,600), which is pretty affordable.
Xiaomi fans who are interested in buying the phone will have to wait a bit longer. There are no pre-order details yet for the Redmi 12 in the Philippines. Those who want to stay updated can check the official website of Xiaomi Philippines or their Facebook page for any announcements.
