Samsung’s Camera Assistant now available for Galaxy A53 and A54

Samsung brings its Camera Assistant feature to the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54, two of its mid-range smartphones that run on One UI 6. The feature was previously exclusive to its premium Galaxy S, Z Fold, and Flip series phones.

The Camera Assistant enhances the Camera app with several options that give users more flexibility and creativity when taking photos. For instance, users can zoom in 2x without losing quality, toggle Auto HDR on or off, soften the picture for a smoother look, use a quick tap to capture a shot, access high-resolution settings, and more.

The feature is available for download from the Galaxy Store for free. Users need to have One UI 6, the latest version of Samsung’s custom Android skin, to use it. One UI 6 is based on Android 14 and brings a host of improvements to the user interface, such as Material You Design, Dynamic Color, Privacy Dashboard, and Enhanced Quick Panel.

Samsung has been rolling out One UI 6 to its Galaxy A series phones since November. Galaxy A53 and A54 users can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Samsung’s Camera Assistant is one of the ways that the company is bringing its flagship features to its mid-range phones, making them more competitive and appealing to consumers. With the Camera Assistant, Galaxy A53 and A54 users can enjoy a more powerful and versatile camera experience.
