VALORANT Champions Tour Pacific 2024 kicks off with a bang

Year two of VCT Pacific, the premier league for Valorant esports in the region, is underway with the Kickoff tournament. The Kickoff will decide which two teams will represent the Pacific at Masters Madrid, the first of three global events this year.

The Kickoff is the first of three stages in the VCT Pacific season, followed by Stage 1 and Stage 2. Each stage will have its tournament to determine the qualifiers for the global events: Masters Madrid, Masters Shanghai, and Champions. The Champions event will crown the ultimate Valorant champion of the year.

The VCT Pacific season has expanded this year to include four new teams from Ascension, the lower division of the league. One of them is Bleed Esports, who impressed everyone with their dominant performance in Ascension last year.

The VCT Pacific season is sponsored by Acer, Intel, Woori Bank, Red Bull, Ralph Lauren, Asahi Breweries, Tachihi, Steelcase, BenQ, Grab, and Pulsar. The total prize pool for the season is USD 250,000.

The Kickoff tournament is divided into three phases:

The Group stage will feature 11 teams in three groups, with a GSL format. PRX, the Pacific champions, will be automatically seeded into Group C.
The Play-ins will have eight teams in a single round-robin format. The top four teams will qualify for the Playoffs, while the bottom four teams will be eliminated.
The Playoffs will have four teams in a single elimination bracket. The two finalists will secure their spots at Masters Madrid.

Schedule

The VCT Pacific Kickoff is scheduled to run from February 17 to February 25. Matches will begin at the following times:

Group stage (17 – 21 February)
Matches on 17, 19, and 21 February will start from 15:00 KST / 14:00 GMT+8
Matches on 18 and 20 February will start from 17:00 KST / 16:00 GMT+8
Play-ins (22 February): matches will start from 15:00 KST / 14:00 GMT+8
Playoffs (24 – 25 February): matches will start from 17:00 KST / 16:00 GMT+8

Ticketing Details

S FACTORY, a culture complex in Seoul’s trendy Seongsu-Dong neighborhood, will host the VCT Pacific Kickoff.

Tickets will go on sale starting February 1, 12:00 KST / 11:00 GMT+8. Non-Korean residents can purchase a ticket by going here and typing in “VCT Pacific” and/or “VALORANT” in the search bar to find the ticket page.
