Riot Games has unveiled Veto, the newest Sentinel agent in VALORANT, set to launch on October 7, 2025. First revealed during the VALORANT Champions Paris grand finals, Veto brings a unique defensive style focused on disabling enemy abilities and forcing direct gunfights.

Veto is a Senegalese enforcer with a DNA mutation that powers his kit. His abilities are designed to disrupt utility-heavy plays and shift the focus back to raw aim.
His skill set includes:
- Chokehold: A trap that Deafens and Decays enemies. It can be destroyed before activation.
- Crosscut: A teleportation vortex usable during the Buy Phase and reclaimable for redeployment.
- Interceptor: A device that destroys enemy utility vulnerable to gunfire or bounce mechanics.
- Evolution (Ultimate): Grants regeneration, combat stim, and immunity to debuffs.
Alongside Veto’s release, Riot also launched a new custom game mode called Skirmish. It features fast-paced 1v1 to 5v5 matches in a close-quarters map, designed for quick engagements.
Veto’s arrival marks a shift in Sentinel playstyle, offering players a way to counter ability-heavy strategies.
