VALORANT is launching a Manila game server to improve ping for Filipino players

Players in the Philippines can expect more stable gameplay and fewer connection problems.

Riot Games is adding a new Manila server to VALORANT on August 19, 2025, with patch 11.04. This update aims to give Filipino players a better connection and lower ping during matches.

The Manila server will be the sixth in the Asia Pacific region. Riot says the decision comes after seeing strong growth in the Philippine player base over the past five years. Most Filipino players currently use the Hong Kong server, which has faced infrastructure issues that affect game quality.

With the new server, players in the Philippines can expect more stable gameplay and fewer connection problems. Riot also confirmed that the Hong Kong server will stay active. Players can choose which server to use based on their experience.

The new server won’t affect access to Premier, VALORANT’s competitive mode. Teams playing on the Manila server will still be eligible for the Challengers Southeast Asia league.

Riot says matchmaking across Asia Pacific will remain strong, even with the new server in place.

The Manila server goes live on August 19. Players can switch servers in-game once the update rolls out. Stay tuned for updates.
