Marvel drops Deadpool & Wolverine official trailer

This is the first Marvel movie to feature both Deadpool and Wolverine, who have been fan favorites for years.

Marvel fans, rejoice! The long-awaited Deadpool & Wolverine movie (initially called Deadpool 3) is finally happening, and the official trailer is here to prove it.

The trailer released on Monday features Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, as his usual sarcastic and fourth-wall-breaking self.

It also reveals some plot details, including the Time Variance Authority (last seen on the Marvel series Loki), some X-men, several characters from the previous Deadpool movies, and what looks like Doctor Doom. The last one, of course, could just be a lookalike, but introducing the iconic villain in the movie could have several implications for the MCU.

Unfortunately, Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) isn’t fully showcased in the trailer yet, likely saving the full reveal on a later date.

The trailer is full of witty banter, explosive stunts, and fourth-wall-breaking jokes, as expected of any Deadpool movie.

The movie is directed by Shawn Levy, who directed Free Guy and The Adam Project with Reynolds, and Real Steel with Jackman. It also stars Morena Baccari (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Karan Soni (Dopinder), and more.

Various reports and leaks suggest a lot of high-profile cameos, but the cast and crew have done a good job keeping it under wraps.

Deadpool & Wolverine is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2024, and is expected to have an R rating for strong violence, language, and sexual content. It is the first Marvel movie to feature both Deadpool and Wolverine, who have been fan favorites for years.
