Marvel Studios has dropped the first teaser trailer for its upcoming film, Thunderbolts*. The film brings together a group of anti-heroes, previously considered the MCU’s least likely to succeed.
The film stars Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, who returns as the depressed assassin from Black Widow.
Joining her in this unlikely alliance are familiar faces from the MCU, including Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Lewis Pullman and Geraldine Viswanathan also join the cast.
The teaser trailer gives us a glimpse of the characters, hinting at their challenges as they work together. In addition to the teaser, the film’s first poster has also been revealed.
Thunderbolts* is directed by Jake Schreier, and produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez, and Scarlett Johansson are executive producers.
Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* is set to hit theaters in May 2025.
