Filipino basketball fans can now enjoy watching Gilas Pilipinas compete in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers via the Smart LiveStream App.

The Smart LiveStream App, downloadable on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, is open to subscribers of all networks, making it easier for fans to support the country’s men’s national basketball team.

Gilas Pilipinas is in Group B of the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers, along with New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Chinese Taipei. The team will play in a home-away format, starting with Hong Kong on February 22 at 8 PM and Chinese Taipei on February 25 at 7:30 PM.

The top two teams from each of the six groups will qualify for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025, which will be held in Qatar. The February window is the first of six scheduled for the qualifiers.

Gilas Pilipinas is coached by Tim Cone, the winningest coach in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Cone led the same core team to the Philippines’ first Asian Games gold medal in 61 years. He is confident that the team’s continuity will help them advance to the next stages of the qualifiers.

The Gilas 12 roster consists of seven-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo, Scottie Thompson, Dwight Ramos, Kai Sotto, CJ Perez, Chris Newsome, Calvin Oftana, Jamie Malonzo, Kevin Quiambao, Carl Tamayo, AJ Edu, and naturalized player Justin Brownlee.
