Redmi A3 announced: 90Hz display, 5000mAh battery

A budget-friendly phone with a large display, a large battery, and a leather-like finish.

Xiaomi announced the Redmi A3, a budget-friendly phone that comes with a large 90Hz display, a 5000mAh battery, and a leather-like finish.

The Redmi A3 has a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 1650×720 resolution, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

It has a single 8MP camera at the back and a 5MP shooter in front. It also has a large 5000mAh battery with 10W USB-C charging, a side fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Redmi A3 comes in Olive Green with a leather textured back; and Midnight Black and Lake Blue, which features a more glass-like design.

In India, the Redmi A3 3GB+64GB model is priced at INR 7,299 (around P4,900 or USD 88), the 4GB+128GB model for INR 8,299 (P5,600 or USD 100), and the 6GB+128GB model for INR 9,299 (P6,400 or USD 112).

At this point, it’s not yet known if the phone will come to the Philippines.
