TECNO is making a splash at the MWC 2024 with several new releases. Aside from the POVA 6 Pro 5G, they also unveiled the Camon 30 Premier 5G which features a vegan leather design.
Its main highlight is its cameras. At the back, a triple camera system is highlighted by a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS. It also has a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto with up to 3x optical zoom.
TECNO also introduces its new PolarAce Imaging System, an ISP that leverages AI for noise reduction, accurate skin tones, and advanced modifications such as the AIGC Portrait mode and AI One Click Eraser.
The Camon 30 Premier 5G is built around a 6.77-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1400 nits. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and a hole punch cutout for Tecno’s first 50MP selfie camera.
Inside, a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset powers the handset with 12GB+12GB virtual RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 5000mAh battery with 70W fast charging.
The phone also features 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an FM radio, and an IR port.
Additionally, Tecno added an interesting design element called the Action Dot — an LED indicator that lights up for various functions, such as when recording videos, charging, or when the voice assistant is activated.
The TECNO Camon 30 Premier 5G is coming soon, but various reports say it will launch in Q2 2024.
