Samsung has just unleashed the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G in the Philippines. The smartphones feature Exynos chipsets, AMOLED displays, and 50MP cameras.
The Galaxy A55 5G with 8GB+256GB configuration is priced at P24,990. The Galaxy A35 5G with a similar configuration is priced at P20,990. The phones are also going to be bundled with freebies from March 18 to April 18, 2024, such as a Galaxy Buds FE worth P5,490 and a Travel Adapter worth P1,190. Furthermore, a 128GB option will be available exclusively in Smart Communications and Globe Telecom.
The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G is the predecessor to the Galaxy A54 5G, 2023’s best selling Android phone. The Galaxy A55 5G has a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It has HDR10+ support and a peak brightness of 1100 nits, in addition to Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.
The phone is powered by an Exynos 1480 chipset with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, along with a large 5000mAh battery. It runs on One UI 6.1, based on Android 14.
Like its predecessor, the Galaxy A55 5G has a triple camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro lens. While in front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera in a hole-punch cutout.
The Galaxy A35 5G, on the other hand, has the same 120Hz 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display, battery, and RAM/storage configuration. However, this one is powered by an Exynos 1380.
The phone has a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera and 5MP macro lens0, but the ultra-wide camera has an 8MP sensor instead. The selfie camera is also different with a 13MP shooter instead.
